233 Symposium--Predicting Field Performance With Controlled Environment Phenotyping - Successes and Failures

Oral Session
C02 Crop Physiology and Metabolism
Much phenotyping for investigation of genetic variation for physiological traits is undertaken in greenhouses and other controlled environments, but how reliably do these types of studies predict field performance? This session will cover successes (and also instructive failures) arising from field verification of the results of controlled environment phenotyping experiments.
