176 Symposium--Challenges In Crop Production For Northern Agriculture

Oral Session
Canadian Society of Agronomy (CSA)
The objective of this symposium is to give an overview of the present and future challenges confronting agronomy researchers so that agricultural production in Northern areas, like Canada, will continue to increase in a sustainable and profitable manner. The symposium will address various aspects of Northern production including: crop adaptation, breeding for abiotic stress resistance, production systems and technology, energy and economics and organic agriculture. Following the symposium, a discussion session will be held to allow for greater consideration and of the topics presented.
