The recent PCAST Report: Agricultural Preparedness & the Agriculture Research Enterprise urged the federal government for $700M in additional dollars for new agricultural research due to new challenges: climate change, land and water resources and new pests.  So what does this mean to you? Meet one of the report’s co-authors, Dan Schrag, a Harvard Professor of Geology, who wants to discuss the political landscape with graduate students and others, about how the PCAST Report impacts you and the federal support of research and education in the agronomy and crop and soil sciences.
