Since 2008, the EPA Brownfields program and our State and Tribal Partners, and interested communities have been assessing and cleaning sites for their safe reuse. This talk will discuss recent surveys of local government and their ability to respond to community interests. The presenter will also focus on an key project successes and cautionary tales, gaps in environmental and public health practice to chart a path forward that reduces lead exposure risks of community gardening.
