The viticulture is in a situation of growth in the Brazilian market, and is intended essentially for two markets with different characteristics: for processing grapes wine and juice and grapes for fresh consumption. Among the many chemicals available in the market hydrogen cyanamide, it is considered the product that provides the best results in terms to uniformity and development of budburst grapes. But the hydrogen cyanamide is considered an extremely toxic to humans and can be phytotoxic to plant when badly managed and has no competitors in the market. This study aimed to meet the need to define the best strategies of management of dormancy breaking in favor of chain vintners of the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the combination of Erger® and Calcium nitrate as inducers of overcoming bud dormancy, of  Niagara Rosada grapevine in the northwestern of São Paulo state, Brazil. The experiment was conducted in the period from April to June 2012, in a randomized block, in factorial design, with six budbreak promoters and three application times, with 18 treatments. We realized 5 evaluations, and at 7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after treatment application. We evaluate the quality of grape's clusters was determined the characteristics of pH, soluble solids, titratable acidity and ratio. Based on the results obtained and the conditions of the study, the following conclusions were established: The use of Erger® adding to its mix Calcium Nitrate fertilizer has performance similar to hydrogen cyanamide, proving to be an efficient alternative for induction and uniformity of shooting and maintenance of quality characteristics of commercial clusters of grape 'Niagara Rosada'.
