Converting Gray Water To Green Water.

As the world population grows we will need more water suitable for food production and other uses. All wastewater from human activities falls into the gray water category. Gray water is commonly viewed as a waste, not a resource. Virtually any gray water, including industrial wastewater, can be reused as a green water resource using a gray water reuse strategy with proper design and management . Gray water is often not a popular solution or resource because of public misperceptions, lack of accurate knowledge, and it is not typically viewed as a large resource. Proper water reuse is a balancing act that must consider all inputs, outputs, site conditions and sustainable management systems. This presentation will outline a proven water reuse process and include case studies demonstrating successful reuse of gray water from multiple sources for extended periods through agricultural irrigation.
