Study compares different methods for quantifying degree of soil hydrophobicity, and discusses the discrepancy between them as a function of the pore-scale mechanisms that reflect themselves in the measurement technique. Water and Ethanol drop penetration test, Washburn Capillary Rise, Wilhelmy Plate and Sessile Drop methods are compared to infiltration values at the field scale.
