Symposium--QTL That Matter

Oral Session

C07 Genomics, Molecular Genetics & Biotechnology

This symposium will try to move the study of QTL from the discovery to the utilization stage. Speakers will present the use of meta-analysis, fine mapping, near isogenic lines, and other methods to validate QTL found in mapping studies. Presentations may include GxE (QTLxE), narrowing down to candidate genes, gene action, stability across genetic backgrounds, and progress on breeding with these QTL (or lack of progress, and why).
