Session Description: Progress in understanding and  solutions to problems in any field of study often require advances in measurement techniques and/or sensor technology. This is particularly true in agronomic and environmental sciences, where measurement of the biophysical environment has been and will continue to be an essential component to many research and applied endeavors. This broad-topic session aims to bring together a mix of scientists and practitioners from academia, government, research organizations, and industry who are working to solve recalcitrant problems in biophysical measurements and sensors. Submissions that detail seemingly intractable measurement/sensor issues, focus on potential or emerging solutions to difficult measurement/sensor challenges, or highlight new developments and improvements in measurement/sensor technology are welcomed.
