Session Description: Agriculture is largely controlled by weather and climate.  We are in an era where global climate is dominated by the warming influences of anthropogenic emissions of GHG into the atmosphere.  When agricultural system models are tools for analysis of the impacts of future projections of GHG and associated climate change, and exploring mitigation and adaptation strategies, they need be based on cutting edge field experiments and theories of the processes involved. The aim of this symposium is to bring together experimentalists and modelers in the arena and discuss global warming threats, and potential adaptation and mitigation strategies.
