Abstract:
Cover crop use in field crop research, especially cotton, dates back to Auburn University’s “Old Rotation”, the world’s oldest continuous cotton experiment, established in 1896. Despite the long history of cover crop research in the literature, meta-analytic methods have not been used to evaluate cotton production systems with and without cover crops. The objective of this research was to summarize the results of a literature search conducted to analyze cover crop effects on cotton yield.
