Abstract:
Tomatoes price was low during almost all 2014 year even during winter months. As always, tomatoes price was affected by overproduction at crop production areas in Mexico and United States. Tomatoes growers in Mexico and United States compete for principally American market during winter months. Florida growers sometimes are hit by very bad weather during winter: very low temperatures that kill their tomatoes crops. This situation allows to Mexican farmers, especially Sinaloa state, to export tomatoes to United States at very high prices. They call this tomatoes sells to USA the Winter
