290 Digital Soil Mapping for Precision Agriculture: II (Includes Student Competition)

Poster Session
ASA Section: Agronomic Production Systems
Precision management requires information about soil properties and processes at a similar resolution to the management tools. These tools range from basic fertilizer prescriptions to crop growth and development models. Digital soil mapping research and applications may be able to provide better information about soil texture, hydraulic properties, pH, nutrients, organic matter, or other critical soil properties needed for the decision tool. Soils are complex and multidimensional so posters that address spatial and temporal variations and full soil profiles are encouraged. This may also include sensor approaches.
