The Upper Midwest is a primary organic production region in the US.  Wisconsin holds the second highest number of certified organic farms of any state in the US; Minnesota has the third highest number of certified organic grain farmers.  This tour will highlight two organic farms in the Twin Cities area: an organic dairy and an organic vegetable farm.  Additionally, the tour will visit two businesses providing organic market and value-added opportunities for organic farmers in the Upper Midwest: the Wedge Co-op and an organic brewery.
