Format: Oral Topical Session
Keywords: C storage , CO2 emission, Process-based modeling and Resilience of agriculture

Session Description:

Soil organic C storage is intimately related to physical, chemical and biological soil properties. Implementing management practices to increase the soil carbon stocks will improve soil health, offset anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions and enhance the resilience of agriculture enabling its capacity for adaption to future climate. This session is intended to encompass empirical soil C and/or CO2 emission studies, using data from long-term experiments and process-based modeling approaches, in assessing management impacts on soil processes and adaption to future climate change.
