Format: Oral Symposium
Keywords: beneficial insects, insect management, organic agriculture and pollinators

Session Description: Organic production practices focus on an ecological approach to management to create a sustainable and resilient cropping system.  Farming practices used by organic farmers, such as diverse crop rotations, cover cropping, planting insectary crops, and creating pollinator habitats can serve as examples as to the interaction between prodcution strategies and pest and beneficial insect interactions.  The goal of this session is to explore those interactions through the research of agronomists and entomologists working in these systems.

Approved for 3 IPM CEUs.
