Title: Symposium--Model Simulation Comparisons with Experimental Observations of Evapotranspiration

Organizer: Kendall DeJonge
Presider: Kendall DeJonge
Lead Community Sponsor: Evapotranspiration Measurement and Modeling Community
Cosponsor: Climatology & Modeling, Soil & Water Management & Conservation
Community Cosponsor: Model Applications in Field Research Community, Agroclimatology and Agronomic Modeling Community, Crop Irrigation Strategies and Management Community
Format: Oral Symposium
Keywords: evapotranspiration, micrometeorology, model and observation

Session Description: Measurement of evapotranspiration has proven to be a difficult endeavor. Both crop models and micrometeorological models have been recently used in attempt to quantify evapotranspriation. It is important that these models are verified with robust experimental evapotranspiration data, whether coming from water balance methods, lysimetry, sap flow, or other methods.

Approved for 2.5 SW CEUs.
