Session Description: Urban areas are increasing at rapid rate across the globe. Our understanding of storage and turnover of carbon in urban soils is very limited. Filling the urban soil carbon gap has many implications ranging from improving our local, regional carbon budget estimates, to local applications relating soil quality and impacts on vegetation and stormwater. This session seeks both oral and poster research presentations on the storage and dynamics of soil organic carbon in urban ecosystems.
