Abstract:
Crop producers in the Southeastern United States are vulnerable to season and short term droughts due to soils with low water holding soils affected by compaction. This presentation summarizes a project that demonstrated system-level water conservation technologies that enhance resilience to drought and increase farm profits. Six “Prototype Fields” were used to demonstrate and train growers to adopt innovative water conservation technologies.
