Generation Image – Photography 101 for Communicating Lab Research: II
WorkshopsIn this new world, what better tool to help you communicate about your research than a photograph? Photos can be shared in web stories, blogs, social media, and even in print. They bring a richness and clarity to your science story – when done right. They are one of the best communications tools out there.
In this workshop you will learn:
- What are the various types of photos that can help communicate your research;
- What tools do you need (I promise, it’s not expensive);
- How to manage all your photos efficiently; and,
- How to use the photos to communicate what you do.
What you need for the workshop: a smartphone and a laptop computer/tablet, fully charged before the workshop! You must already create Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram accounts to attend this workshop – we won’t have time to create them in class. One or all, but at least one.
