121 Symposium--Exchanging Waterway Nutrient Abundance for Scarcity

Oral Session
ASA Section: Environmental Quality
Sponsored by Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc.

Surface and ground water continue to carry an abundance of lost nutrients from agronomic systems, which rely on these – in some cases scarce – nutrients to maintain productivity for a growing population.  This symposium of invited speakers is designed to explore the opportunity to capture and re-use nutrients currently lost from the water stream exiting agricultural lands.  Imagine the possibilities of meeting the Grand Challenge of more food with less environmental impact by capturing losses to reduce dependence on raw inputs.
