124 Symposium--Soil Health Measurements for Resilient Agriculture:Assessments for Land Managers

Oral Session
ASA Section: Land Management and Conservation
Soil health measurements are being requested from land managers.  Land managers want scientists to bring forth these measurements along with assessments and explanations for agricultural production.  Land managers want to know how to monitor soil health and what indicators to use.  This will take the effort of many entities and consensus among groups.  Private and public soil testing labs with the work of research soil scientists, agronomists, extension agents, and others that interact with land managers will be needed to implement the process of soil health assessments.
