Session Description: The goal of this symposium is to highlight recent advances in the merging of crop models into crop breeding programs. There are recent examples of sophisticated, agricultural systems oriented approaches being used to breed resilient crop plants for current and future cropping systems. These include a unique collaboration among crop modelers, plant physiologists, remote sensing experts, and plant breeders.
