Session Description: This is a 3-talk symposium that intersects scientific disciplines focused on improving fiber crop prodcutivity. The first talk will focus on the rhizosphere and its importance for increasing crop productivity. The second talk will focus on new uses of fiber crops (beyond textiles). The third talk will focus on breeding innovations for fiber crop improvement. The symposim cuts across several A, C, and S divisions/sections and should be well attended.
