Format: Oral Topical Session
Keywords: BMPs, predicting nutrient reductions and watershed management planning

Session Description: Many watersheds are considered impaired due to excessive concentrations of nutrients and sediments in surface waters.  Preparation of a watershed management plan requires an estimation of nutrient load reductions due to the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs).  This session will address the different approaches used to quantitatively predict how BMPs will reduce nutrient loads to surface waters.  It is an appropriate session for reporting case studies of watershed planning projects.
