Session Description: Accurate and reliable estimates of evapotranspiration (ET) have been a research area over decades. However, estimates from surface instrumentation and satellite sensing in regard to partitioning ET into evaporation (E) and transpiration (T) have increasing interest especially for water-limited agricultural systems. Various advanced methods and instrumentation, as well as satellite-driven modeling, have been developed in recent years for crop ET, crop transpiration, and soil evaporation. This session will include all crop ET studies, partitioning algorithms and instruments, and related techniques which benefit the ET Measurement and Modeling Community.
