Format: Oral Topical Session
Keywords: biogeochemical cycling, carbon quantity and quality, microbial community structure and diversity and soil and ecosystem function

Session Description: Soils are the foundation of every ecosystem and recovery of their function is required for successful ecological reclamation and restoration. Functional parameters such as carbon quantity and quality, microbial community structure and diversity, biogeochemical cycling, and plant iterations should be considered during restoration. These parameters might be compared to their equivalents in natural systems as benchmarks for success.
