Session Description: This symposium, Transforming Smallholder Agronomy in Africa addresses the achievement of higher rate of adoption of good agronomic practices by African smallholder farmers. The 2-hr symposium consists of 10 5-min presentations of key lessons learned plus one hour of discussion of the lessons presented as well as to address future activities of Agronomy in Africa, a new ASA community. The symposium will bring together members with a strong interest and often are engaged in agronomy in Africa interested to know of the lessons important to smallholder impact and able to contribute to the development of a community strategy.
