Presentation Description: How to make money with Hemp in America.

Abstract:
Now that some American farmers are permitted to grow hemp, one question remains, “How do I get started?” Eric Carlson through his work as Director of Hemp Affairs with the National Cannabis Chamber of Commerce and Managing Partner of New Forest Agriculture provides solutions to that ominous question asked by many hemp enthusiasts eager to get involved. Infrastructure development of this new industry is vital for its success. A lifecycle is being created that begins with a seed and ends with a consumer; accomplished by connecting the producers, processors, manufactures, and retailers together in a bourgeoning community.

How do we commercialize a plant that’s been dormant for decades, hidden next to railroad tracks, lakes, rural fields, and even in our own national parks? For this question to be answered hemp producers must know where to obtain viable seed, how to cultivate the crop, and most importantly who will purchase their harvested materials. Processors and manufactures across varying industries are taking notice how hemp can fit their technological models. Consumers are becoming more educated on the agricultural, economical, and sustainable impacts hemp will soon have among its resurgence into mainstream America. Eric Carlson, through his personal experiences of the business-side of legal cannabis, shares in the knowledge required for many people to begin making money with hemp.
