Abstract:
Pythium root rot is a destructive disease of creeping bentgrass golf greens in Nebraska. Proper cultural practices alone do not protect from this disease; only limit disease severity. Chemical management is needed to prevent disease outbreaks, but also to stop ongoing outbreaks. Fungicide trials were conducted at two locations in Nebraska. Applications were made as preventative applications, as well as, curative applications once disease was present. A third management program was also assessed. Data will be available later this summer.
