Special Session--Relatable Science – Communicating in 2017

Oral Session
Special Sessions
We all want the public to think our research and work is important. What’s the disconnect? What can we do, as scientists and communicators, to bridge the gap? This special session will help you learn how to make your communications relatable to each audience you want to address. It is the Societies’ hope that attending this session will encourage you to reach out to the public more, and more effectively. Learn how to: understand the communications process;define your audiences;create relatable messages for each audience; and, frame your messages to be audience-relatable.
