Managing Global Resources for a Secure Future

2017 Annual Meeting | Oct. 22-25 | Tampa, FL

264 Symposium--Biogeochemistry of Natural and Engineered Nanoparticles in the Environment II

Oral Session
SSSA Division: Soils and Environmental Quality
Natural nanoparticles in soil and water play an important role in nutrient cycling, contaminant fixation, and resilience of soil productivity and water quality. With increasing application of engineered nanoparticles (ENPs) in agriculture and environment, interactions of ENPs with organic /inorganic constituents in soil and water, uptake by organisms, and subsequent impacts on soil and water quality as well as toxicities to organisms have become a research frontier related to soil and environmental quality.
