Format: Oral Symposium
Keywords: N2O, Nitrates, Nitrogen Cycle and Nitrogen Measurements and Instrumentation

Session Description: This symposium focuses on measurement methods and instrumentation that help to quanitfy the storage and movement of nitrogen throughout the environment as it relates to agriculture.  The symposium includes aspects of measuring nitrogen in and between soils, water, biological systems, and the atmosphere.  The subject matter is intentionally broad in order to provide a bigger-picture context of agriculture's role in the nitrogen cycle and how various agricultural systems interact.  It also is meant to provide an overview of various measurements currently being used or that are needed.
