Session Description: The goals are to 1) share case studies of public-sector agricultural success stories that can be used to support justifications of public funding; 2) inspire the next-generation of students-and scientists with history of important work and demonstrate how individuals create impact; 3) demonstrate that the time from discovery to impact in agriculture can be long and that there are many ways to make impact; 4) to make sure such stories are not lost to time, as the details are not found in literature and these presentations may be recorded. Each section or division that joins would each solicit a speaker.
