Community Cosponsor: Agroclimatology and Agronomic Modeling Community
Format: Oral Symposium
Keywords: Airborne and satellite remote sensing, agricultural decision making, multilevel data integration and remote sensing

Session Description: The advances over the last decades in remote sensing science consolidate its importance in the agricultural sector. The new and historical earth observation data sources are becoming more frequently. New methodologies and techniques are leading to sophisticated algorithms with multilevel data integration. Combining them with climate, soil, and crop information is making remote sensing even more powerful. In the era of new-generation nanosatellites and drones, how can remote sensing technology help make producers more efficient, profitable and sustainable? The Symposium will be focused on advances in how this information can be incorporated into agricultural decision making.
