Session Description: The Gulf Coast Research & Education Center at IFAS is a modern facility for research, teaching and technology transfer.  With its subtropical climate, IFAS faculty and staff have a long history of international agricultural development projects accross the globe.  They have trained many scientists from developing countries, amany of them from Africa.  The diversity of vegetable and fruit crops grown at the Center as well as innovative cultural practices to increase productivity and profititability could benefit developing country practitioners and researchers.
