Format: Oral Topical Session
Keywords: climate uncertainty, crop modeling, food security and knowlege gaps

Session Description: A growing global population, reduced availability of water and land resources, declining yield increases for major crops, and climate uncertainty combine to place unprecedented challenges on agricultural systems. The need for reliable, science-based predictive crops models has thus never been greater.  While great progress has been made in improving these models, significant challenges remain to address the various knowledge gaps and application approaches that limit their accuracy, particularly when forecasting climate and resource uncertainties. This session will focus on recent research approaches targeting these challenges.
