Format: Oral Topical Session
Keywords: conversation tillage, cover crop, soil amendments and soil health
Session Description: Soil health management practices such as cover crops, application of agricultural and industry byproducts, conservation tillage and diverse rotation play roles in changing soil physical and hydraulic properties. A better understanding of soil-plant-water relations and relationships between soil organic matter and soil properties as affected by those and other approaches will support modeling efforts and will aid in the development of effective and sustainable management systems. Contributors are encouraged to share experimental and modeling research results on soil-plant-water relations in response to cover crops, soil amendments, conservation tillage and other practices. At the end we will hold the Community meeting.
