Session Description: It is increasingly evident that sustainable development of a society requires broader understanding of the inter-dependencies among food, energy and water sectors. With the recent recognition of climate change impacts on agro-ecosystems and the occurrence of extreme weather events (e.g. severe drought, heavy precipitation), the interest by government and industry to increase the resilience of agriculture to meet the food demand while reducing the energy and water footprints is growing. This symposium will bring experts to discuss the inter-play among food, energy, and water sectors in the face of changing climate.
