Session Description: Application of Decision Support Systems, surface and groundwater models such as coupled SWAT-MODFLOW, precision management techniques, sensors, big data, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs, drones), digital information and communication technologies has potential to reduce groundwater depletion and improve rain water and irrigation water use efficiency. Soil amendments (i.e. manure and biochar) could improve water use efficiency by increasing soil infiltration, water holding capacity and plant available water content. This poster session participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience, views and ideas on embracing innovative digital agricultural products and decision support systems and models for smart soil and water management.
