Session Description: As soil chemists, we need to step up and communicate to Congress why they should spend precious federal dollars on what can seem like an abstract research topic in order to promote research funding. In this unique science communication session, you have the opportunity to do just that! ALL members are encouraged to bring your research “pitch” before our panel of policy judges and see if you have the advocacy and communication skills to win a $50 prize. Develop your three minute research narrative and make a clear, concise, and compelling case that explains why policymakers should support your research.
