Session Description: We invite presentations investigating mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy approaches for qualitative or quantitative studies of soil organic matter composition. Presentations from studies addressing organic matter content or composition in bulk soil or in soil fractions, changes in response to natural or anthropogenic disturbance or environmental gradients, methods evaluation, and/or calibration to more traditional analyses of soil organic matter will contribute to advancing knowledge and techniques for investigating soil properties with MIR methods.
