Format: Oral Symposium
Keywords: Gas Emissions , Long-Term Study, Management Practices and Soil C Stock

Session Description: Soil C dynamic could be influenced by inherited soil properties (Chemical, physical, and biological), and by various agricultural management practices. Increasing soil C and enhancing soil resilience for future climate changes could offset greenhouse gas emissions and improve soil health. This symposium is intended to evaluate the data generated from the long-term experiments regarding soil C storage and/or CO2 emission studies and process-based modeling approaches, in assessing agriculture management impacts on soil processes and adaption to the future climate change. This symposium will improve our knowledge of the impact of management practices on soil C sequestered or lost as greenhouse gas influenced by climate change.
