Session Description: The session will compare and contrast approaches wetland soil management in various countries. Each speaker will describe how wetland soils are identified and classified in their country, and present other aspects related to wetland soil management. Historical perspectives on how wetland soil concepts have evolved (and continue to evolve) within each nation are also encouraged, including information on the cutting edge wetland science of today and emerging research needs. The outcomes of this session will be synthesized into a manuscript comparing and contrasting international approaches to wetland soil science.
