Session Description: Agricultural management practices are changing in remarkable ways under needs for food security and changing global climate. Agricultural production may have to double, which will require more reactive chemicals, water, and energy. Intensification of conventional farming is expected to be detrimental for soil health. However, the challenges and opportunities are emerging with the advent of expanding science-based knowledge, technology and information systems that forcing us to envision agricultural renaissance in the 21st century to improve soil health. The importance of soil health management, highlighting challenges and opportunities being faced with emerging trends and technologies that are important to sustainable agriculture.
