Session Description: Soils offer a powerful record of terrestrial environmental change. With current focus on the impact of future climate change on soil resources, there is renewed focus on understanding how past climate change has influenced soils and landscapes. This session will examine the evidence for climate change preserved in soils related to Quaternary climate variability, glacial-interglacial cycling, or ancient climates.
