Session Description: Animal and other organic wastes have long been important sources of nutrients in agriculture. Organic wastes not only supply nutrients, but can also benefit the condition of soil. However, effective management of manures and other organic wastes is important to balance agronomic, environmental, and social goals. This symposium will highlight the effective use of organic nutrients in North American agricultural systems.
