Session Description: This section highlights the role of animals in sustainable systems, and encourages interpreting the work in the context of social, political and logistical elements that tie into production. Topics include evaluation of forage DM, persistence, nutritive value measurement in grazing experiments, and relationships with measurements such as Average Daily Gain, gains per unit of land area, relationships between feed efficiency and animal size, and impacts of grazing on pasture soils.  Students wishing to participate in the AAE poster competitions should submit to the session ”General AAE Poster, including Student Poster Competition”, or the AAE “Multilingual Student Scholar Poster Competition”
