Session Description: Much thought and effort across agronomy is currently focused on collecting more data to solve problems in agriculture. But, while big data is a trend, it is not the complete answer. Without a defined research question and subsequent experimental design, large datasets still lose power for answering research questions. This symposium will touch many diverse and highly relevant topics ranging from properly handling and using large agricultural datasets along with appropriate statistical and other modeling approaches.
