Session Description: Plant-soil interactions play key roles in facilitating the stabilization and mobilization of soil carbon, and ecologically relevant metals (Fe, Al, Mn, etc) and nutrients (NO3-, PO43-, etc). These hydro-biogeochemical rhizosphere processes are not only vital to understanding micro-scale dynamics but are fundamental drivers of ecosystem-scale processes observed in both natural and managed environments. We invite research that explores the dynamic role of plant-soil interactions in the rhizosphere, and encourage submissions that translate visionary science to practice under a changing climate.
